On May 7 in Pisa about 300 people attended the day dedicated to the memory of Franco Serantini called by the same name with other library associations Pisa. A lunch-friendly initiative that has opened one of its goals has been to denounce the proposed redesign of the square kept by the City and Scuola Normale Superiore, which provides, in addition to the killing of about 50 pine trees, the raising of a new monument to self-celebration of 200 years of activity of the SNS and the displacement of one dedicated to Serantini. It was reiterated several times that 's Piazza S. Silvestro - where a plaque and a marble memorial stone reminiscent of Franco - for not only Pisa and all Serantini Square, this purpose has been launched to collect signatures to request that the City Square is also formally dedicated to the memory of the young anarchist killed by police in 1972 during a demonstration against fascism. A first tranche of 1150 signatures has already been filed with the secretary of the mayor. In addition, during the day was inaugurated a plaque that reads "Piazza F. Serantini ".
Sociality, culture, environment, anti-fascism and memory were the "buzzwords" with which the participants then crossed the city to lay a pillow of red roses to the place where Serantini was stopped and beaten up by police. The initiative ended in Martyrs Square of freedom where the party was being held in the District of Pisa eco-solidarity with the comrades who shared the day dedicated to Serantini.
