As war rages in Iraq, issue 289 has the symbol
of peace on the cover, and articles written at the time
of its outbreak, by Andrea Papi, the self-explanatory
“Against this war, against all wars”, and
by Antonio Cardella, who sees “Compact dark clouds”
on the horizon.
Away from today’s wars, a splendid 24-page dossier
on “Anarchists against Fascism, 1919-1945 and
beyond”.
Several musical bases are touched in this issue, with
Marco Pandin on the music and ideas of UK anarchist
band Crass (how relevant now is the title of their CD
“We don’t want your fucking war”?),
and Mauro Macario on the late, great Fabrizio De André.
