Torchiera Story
The Self-Governing Torchiera House is a social space that was born and lives in the occupied north of Milan since 1992.
Over the years it has undergone continuous changes, both structural (being a building dating back to 1330, the works of self-construction are continuous and necessary) both in the "population" living soul, and the House.
In this area the water was removed by the city, now more than 14 years ago to make the place uninhabitable and facilitate the evacuation. Later there was an illegal connection that brought the city to respond by pulling the farm permanently off the water system.
Torchiera is a place where juggling, care for the environment, DIY and anti-fascism seeks to engage the respective paths in a single space and give life to many policies from the bottom in a libertarian spirit.
